Thea is an ABC network sitcom series created by Bernie Kukoff, starring comedienne Thea Vidale in the lead role.

The show aired from September 8, 1993 to February 16, 1994, lasting for one season & 19 episodes.

Plot

The series centered on Thea Turrell, a widowed mother of four children from Houston, Texas who worked at a supermarket during the day and ran a one-chair beauty salon on the corner of her porch at night.

Cancellation

Although "Thea" initially attracted high ratings, viewership declined steadily over the course of the season, and it was canceled after 19 episodes, having ended the season in 43rd place.
