The Bachelorette is an ABC network competitive reality dating game show. A spin-off from The Bachelor, it premiered in 2003, took a three-year hiatus from 2005 until 2008, and has known 16.

About the show[]
The series revolves around a single bachelorette (deemed eligible) and a pool of typically 25 romantic interests, which could include a potential husband for the bachelorette. During the course of the season, the bachelorette eliminates candidates until only two eligible bachelors remain, one of which would propose to the bachelorette for the final selection. The participants travel to romantic and exotic locations for their adventures, and the conflicts in the series, both internal and external, stem from the elimination-style format of the show.
