Strange World

Strange World is an ABC network sci-fi network series created by Tim Kring and Howard Gordon.

The show aired from March 8 to March 16, 1999 after three episodes aired; however, the remaining 10 episodes aired on the Sci-Fi Channel in 2002.

It was produced by Teakwood Lane Productions and 20th Century Fox Television.

Plot[]

The series centered on army scientist Paul Turner who investigates criminal abuses of science' while battling a mysterious disease related to the Gulf War.

Production[]

ABC commissioned 13 episodes of "Strange World" of which three aired in March of 1999, before the network cancelled the show.

The remaining ten episodes of the series that were produced subsequently premiered on the Sci-Fi Channel in the spring of 2002.

In a webchat during the 2002 run on Sci Fi, Howard Gordon stated that, since the producers felt ABC was not going to support the show, the producers had the opportunity to write a conclusion to the story.
