Gideon Oliver is an ABC network crime drama series created by Dick Wolf, starring Louis Gossett, Jr in the lead role based on the novel series written by mystery writer Aaron Elkins.

The show aired as part of the "ABC Mystery Movie" rotation from February 20 to May 22, 1989, lasting for one season & 5 episodes.

Plot[]

The series was about Gideon Oliver, an anthropology professor at Columbia University who uses his knowledge of other cultures to solve crimes, aided by his daughter & assistant Zina.
