Paper moon

Paper Moon is an ABC network sitcom series based on the 1973 film of the same name, written by Pamela Chais and Howard Fast.

The show aired from September 12 to December 19, 1974, lasting for one season & 13 episodes.

It was produced by The Culzean Corporation and Paramount Television.

Plot[]

Set during the time of the Great Depression in the 1930s, the series centered on the adventures of Moses Pray, a con artist selling bibles to credulous widows, and a young girl named Addie as they travel the roads of America.

Broadcast History\Cancellation[]

"Paper Moon" aired at 8:30 p.m. Eastern on Thursday following ABC's The Odd Couple and opposite the last half-hours of NBC's "Sierra" and CBS's "The Waltons" (which was in its third season at the time).

The series did not attract a steady audience and was cancelled after its first season of thirteen episodes.
