Cowboy in Africa is an ABC network adventure series produced by Ivan Tors & executively produced by Aaron Spelling.
The show aired from September 11, 1967 to April 1, 1968, lasting for one season and 26 episodes.
A 1966 television pilot called "African Texas Style" (starring Hugh O'Brian as Jim Sinclair) was turned into a movie and released to cinemas.
The series was about rodeo champion Jim Sinclair, who is hired by Commander Hayes to introduce modern methods to his game ranch in Kenya, He brings his helper and best friend, a Navajo Indian named John Henry. Together, they work at roping wildlife and building herds on the ranch.
